I am indeed bummed that I only got to exactly fifty books last year (several library books I dawdled on until I couldn't renew them any further and... well...), but it's all the more incentive for this year. It's last year's Fifty Books Challenge!( You Know You Want to See... )

In a hustle to get this shit out of the way, I'm posting and have decided to omit a book since I did technically finish it in 2012, albeit only a few hours in. See the dedication I have to my own set challenges? Sometimes? At any rate, here's a wrap up of last year's Fifty Books Challenge!( You Know You Want to See... )

Since I always kinda felt like the name was sort of a lazy place-holder, I kind of like this new name for my art page (see wot I did there?) better. It certainly sums up my spirit much more thoroughly.
Thus a new banner!

My hand is still healing and I'm trying not to fuck it up again by overdrawing, but the temptation is great. In the meanwhile, here are some of what I've already finished.
And yes, you DO recognize one of my constant muses, La Goddesse Rouge, frozendoll, enjoying Nine of Cups.

I'm now on Flickr! Nothing on there that you won't get from my Facebook group but if you're on there too, let me know.

I'm still annoyed with DeviantArt, thus my seeking out of other places to air my wares (although I'll still upload stuff there, probably).

And I think that's all my social networks covered.

In my quest for making a "Baltimore is Love" banner, I somehow made a "Glen Burnie is Love" banner instead. Just call me... riddled with Stockholm Syndrome? If there is anyone out there who would like to use this as well, credit or fear the wrath that comes from the ghetto redneck capital, the charmless city outside Charm City.

I found one of my old sketchbooks (OLD old) and for fun scanned the beejeezus out of it (omitting, of course, the requisite godawful teenage poetry, brimming with the lugubrious lucidity only such a medium has). After being reassured by my love [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] that they weren't all godawful (she actually said they were wonderful but she's biased) I've opened them to the public via my art page or should you choose, my art MySpace.
A sneak preview, you ask? Cleverly assembled? WHY SURE!



That's right, if it existed in my brooding, 15/16-year-old mind and I felt the need to commit it to this particular sketchbook, it's (mostly) here!

And a note about my moods section: Yes, all my moods are Clara Bow. Yes, the current mood, "artistic", is actually Betty Boop. Why, you ask? Betty Boop was inspired by both Helen Kane and Clara Bow, among other Jazz Age personalities. Therefore, it can be argued that Betty Boop is an artistic rendering of Clara Bow. Also, she's damn cute.
