Olivia Munn can pose half-naked with a eyes-half-shut-fuck-me face as both her Twitter background and on her personal web page banner, but Kristen Schaal is the rightful sex pot. Talented, funny, AND hot? UNF, I say.
And that's not even getting into her particular kick-assery here.
BONUS: Wanna know her thoughts about that piece of shit Jezebel article, including the interesting journalistic choice Irin Carmon made by completely omitting her, the host of a regular segment on The Daily Show examining sexism in media? Of course you do!
EXTRA BONUS: The best fucking smackdown since the women of The Daily Show responded themselves to that bullshit fauxminist garbage, AngryBLACKLady takes their bullshit fauxminist entitled asses to town and back. Whoo!

Date: 2011-02-14 10:32 pm (UTC)I suspected the page-hit shit when a friend of mine posted something (NOT at Jezebel, at a reputable website) and asked if we could visit it once a day or so, since she got credit for page hits. Given Jezebel's recent pathetic attention-grabbers (including sheltering various rapists), I'm kinda not surprised that Irin Carmon would lay any kind of sense of feminism (or journalism) on the line. Uh, that is, if she has any to lay down.
What pisses me off the most about that whole shit (other than everything) is that Jezebel was trying to claim the narrative of speaking for all feminists with that piece of shit and their subsequent pieces of shit, and that the women on the staff of TDS were talking back to "feminists", not to those that oppose the "facts" presented in that article. I had that problem with Palin and her cult, too, but you'd expect more from these people (at least, I thought so: the attention whoring and persecution complex is about the same).

Date: 2011-02-15 03:10 am (UTC)I'm not going to continue throwing shame Munn's way. (I guess I do enough of that on Tumblr, horrible person that I am.) But I will say that Kristen's TDS segments have been constantly brilliant. I also like the fact that she's just naturally funny. She can't turn it off, whereas Munn seems to be transparently trying too hard. I can't help but think she approaches comedy the way Silverman sometimes does. "Hmmm, now how would a stereotypical man tell this joke?" At least with Silverman, there's a certain honesty to it all. (lol sorry...major digression)

Date: 2011-02-15 03:47 am (UTC)I don't so much shame her as--- kinda scratch my head that if she's trying to make it as a comedienne, why her promo pics aren't, you know, comic. Or are more neutral and less, I dunno, fuck-me-eyes.
AND I OBSESSIVELY FOLLOW YOUR TUMBLR (obviously) AND I HAVE YET TO SEE EVIDENCE OF YOUR HORRIBLENESS.
I'm sad that Munn gets more air time than Kristen (I think it has to do more with Kristen's schedule than anything else) since whenever she's on, the jokes manage to go over like a lead balloon. Dead on that she's trying too hard. Kristen seems to clearly enjoy herself (and enjoy making Jon break).
