Having enjoyed Mad Men Yourself Dot Com, I retooled mine a little for "authenticity" (correct mole, pentacle).

I like to think of it as the opening for my own late '50s/early '60s television show ala Bewitched (appropriate, no?):

Cute! I just did mine and I'm going to post it.

That video reminded me of the God-awful Will Ferrell live-action version my friends sat through for the LAWLZ at a drive-in movie theater (it was paired with the movie we'd actually come to see). I think my greatest regret from that night (besides actually sitting through it) is that I didn't realize until years later that Stephen had been in it.

OSSIM!!!!

Ugh, I wanted so badly to like that movie.... Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Amy Sedaris... but... no. I wanted to like that movie bad enough to see it in the theater, buy the DVD (at a bargain) and the soundtrack (couldn't find a particular track anywhere else and that was before I knew about Shareaza). It's... after seeing Elf I can kind of see why people would think it would work, but Nora Ephron is such an icky director (most of the music choices were... ugh) and Nicole Kidman almost went out of her way to have zero chemistry with the rest of the cast, particularly Will Ferrell. I've heard Nicole Kidman is utterly horrible to work with, particularly to her fellow cast members (in the DVD extras, Stephen makes some jokes that aren't really jokes, if you know what I mean, about her approachability and demeanor on the set) and you can kind of see that in the film. It's like, Will Ferrell and the rest of the cast have this happy, easy chemistry (even when their characters hate the shit out of each other) and she's like in a movie of her own. Ick. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping like hell it'll turn up on My Year of Flops (http://www.avclub.com/features/my-year-of-flops/) some time.

What my patchy memory is offering me is just how unfunny I found it. And the kind of unfunny that's painful because you were supposedly watching a comedy. So I commend your attempts to try to beat what usefulness there is out of that movie.

Which somehow prompts my mission to find a cheap, cheap copy so I can witness this again, squee over Stephen, Steve, and Amy, and see the bonus footage.

Kristin Chenowith is also great (and considering that she was Glinda on Broadway... I don't know where I"m going with this) and it's all the more of a disappointment about Nicole Kidman. In my opinion, she's why that movie failed (that and the sucky music).

YOUTUBE! :^D

Oh Stephen and your glorious mane of hair.

I totally don't want fic now of Stephen using his ear to magic his way closer to the short, gray-haired, and very hot co-worker of his.

"Hey Jon! Oh, what's that behind your ear? Bruce Springsteen concert tickets? Hey, two of them! Well, what a crazy random happenstance! We should just go together! Pick you up at six byyyeee!"

I would never want something that gay.

Apologies in advance for this, but after the first dozen times I watched this video, I fantasized that Nora Ephron had seduced Stephen after the converence. It seems like there was something in the discussion about female comedy writers, and how their jokes 'build up to the punchline,' in contrast to men's 'ejaculatory' style. I don't know, I just read that and thought 'ooooh, subtext!' You can slap me now.

Hmmm.... "subtext"... what am I reminded of...

Oh, yeah (http://l-userpic.livejournal.com/63326688/786745).

I'd never slap you. Unless you're into that.

GORGEOUS! I like your personal touches. Wonder what the TDS/TCR cast would look like Mad-Menified...

Thankee!

I tried, but I couldn't get them right. Not even Stephen, who you think would be perfect!
