"Stop Staring!" Dresses

Okay, I stumbled across this set of dresses and how much do I want this one?

My figure responds best to that of the Post War era. Er... usually.

Wow.

From what I saw of your photos... You would look gorgeous! o.o

Aw, thanks! ^_^

*snickers childishly at your icon*

Oh, take care not to be sucked down the endless hole of want that is Stop Staring! But I will enable anyhow; the Manhattan dress is available here: http://www.daddyos.com/retro/retroldy.html I've ordered from Daddy O's before and they have great customer service.

OH NO!!!!! Moar WANT!!! I've had similar (but much more poorly made) dresses from Hot Topic and these look far superior in both quality and style. And good customer service?! *fights down extra grabby hands*

At least I have the small conciliation that I currently have no place to wear these. *siiigggghhh*

Oy, that Silk Katrina (http://www.daddyos.com/retro/elvs1.html) or the Lace Maria (http://www.daddyos.com/retro/elvs3.html)!!! I'd THINK UP a place to go just to wear those!!!!

[identity profile] imoldfashioned.livejournal.com 2008-05-29 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
OOH! I hadn't seen the Silk Katrina! That's a stunner! They have the Lace Maria in my size too--ruh roh!

[identity profile] alivemagdolene.livejournal.com 2008-05-29 10:37 pm (UTC)(link)
I did the squee-o-meter when I saw the sizes! A large that's ACTUALLY a large?! HURRAH!!!

And holy shit, no matter how my hair or make-up (and also my figure) were behaving that day, I'd feel like the Queen of Sheba (or Babylon) in either of those dresses. Hell, I'd wear 'em to go grocery shopping, should the mood strike me.

Alright, I'll stop spaming you after this but I really like this one: http://www.daddyos.com/retro/stps1.html

and I've seriously thought about purchasing this one: http://www.daddyos.com/retro/ja6.html

They have a designer collection that's hard to find online but is to die for. Higher prices though--$300-$400.

[identity profile] alivemagdolene.livejournal.com 2008-05-29 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Pfffft! Tempting me with drool-worthy clothes is not spam!

Holy shiznit, that first one is the best of both worlds! Thirties yet accommodating to the "post-war" figure.
And red and black!!! Black is my favorite color to wear but I love a splash of red in the right place (re: any place that's going to hide pudge).

*sighs delightedly*

Modern life is indeed a cruel mistress in not giving us any place to wear nice clothes. Deep sigh. Still, your birthday is coming up--can you hint broadly to anyone?

[identity profile] alivemagdolene.livejournal.com 2008-05-29 10:34 pm (UTC)(link)
*taps finger to lip*

I could always save the money myself and when I have my own place throw lots of lavish parties (*snorts*) and wear these to them!

Or I could twist the arm of someone to throw a costume bash. FUN!

[identity profile] sinnrsandsaints.livejournal.com 2008-05-29 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I want, like, almost all of those. But they are so expensive. Argh!

(Figures that I'd really like the low-cut ones, too. I can't wear them!)

I dunno, lady. Not all of those chicas are stacked, and besides, you have the most important thing, and John's favorite thing. *dirty smile*

Plus, take a gander at the divine Miss M:

Quite a healthy rear end on that Buick, isn't there?

[identity profile] sinnrsandsaints.livejournal.com 2008-05-29 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, BUT she was also a bit stacked. Not majorly, but MUCH more than I am!

I'd have to get the busts taken in on any of those. Trust me, this is how my life works. Which reminds me, I need to get the bust taken in on one of my favorite 50's dresses...not that I have money. HAHAHA.

[identity profile] alivemagdolene.livejournal.com 2008-05-29 10:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, if you've got a smaller bust, it evens out! *eyes Marilyn's butt for longer than is prolly healthy*
