Aw! 'Tis the thought that counts dear. And ice cream is always cravable. Ummm!
You're the only person I've ever known who has read that book. Everyone has read Mixed Up Files...(except me) but not this one. The library should have just given it to me I checked it out so often.
Gian had this one, which I adore for the cover alone:
There was a Scholastic Book Fair book about a little witch who gets lost on Halloween and has to stay with this suburban family. She's delightfully pissy and there's a scene in the frozen foods section of a supermarket I especially loved but cannot recall the details of right now. I fear it might end with the "rehabilitation" of the witch into a sweet little girl but I could be wrong. I don't think it was Glenda--I'll have to see if I can find the book to confirm or deny.
Also, slightly tangential rant: I was looking for an image of the cover of Glenda and found tons of idiots who had tagged their pictures of Glinda of Oz as Glenda. Get it right jackasses!
God, I loved Glinda in the books. Total protofeminist. I still want to be Ozma.
